Short biographies of our staff and senior consultants are presented below. Principals
Environmental Management
Richard P. WellsMr. Wells is President of The Lexington Group, Environmental Management Consultants, Inc. He has served as a United States delegate and expert to ISO Technical Committee 207, which is developing the ISO 14000 series standards. An expert on corporate environmental, health, and safety management and corporate environmental performance measurement, Mr. Wells has worked with corporations, governments and non-profit organizations in the United States and abroad to improve environmental management methods. His work for corporate clients has focused on the development of management systems and management measures of success, including the development of corporate-level ISO 14001 system implementation models and benchmarking of "world class" environmental management systems. For the World Bank, he designed a supply chain model of environmental management systems that is being implemented in several countries. For national governments, he has designed environmental strategies that take into account voluntary private initiatives and public requirements. Mr. Wells is Council Director for The Conference Board's Americas EHS Council. Mr. Wells is a graduate of Harvard College and holds a master's degree in management from MIT's Sloan School of Management. C. Foster KnightMr. Knight is Senior Vice President of The Lexington Group. During the past 5 years, Mr. Knight has helped U.S. and Latin American companies develop and implement environmental, health, and safety management systems and prepare for ISO 14001 certification at both the plant and corporate levels. Like Mr. Wells, Mr. Knight is fluent in Spanish, and he has worked with Mr. Wells to teach environmental management to corporate and operations managers in the U.S., Mexico, and elsewhere in Latin America. Formerly the chief environmental counsel for Digital Equipment Corporation, Mr. Knight was instrumental in developing Digital's environmental management system, which was subsequently named one of the "10 best" in the United States by Fortune Magazine. Mr. Knight is also a former Deputy General Counsel of the White House Council on Environmental Quality. He is a graduate of Yale and has a J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley. José María Inclán, Jr.Mr. Inclán is a Senior Associate of the Lexington Group. A Chemical Engineer specializing in EHS management systems, Mr. Inclán has over 4 years of experience working with ISO 14001 planning and implementation for large Mexican and multinational companies in the vanguard of EHS management. He also has taught courses in environmental management systems and ISO 14001 for Internal Auditors to over 500 participants from Mexican industry through the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey.
